Yoga apparel retailer, Beyond Yoga, broadens its retail footprint with the opening of 2 new stores in Los Angeles.

Beyond Yoga, a yoga-inspired lifestyle brand, is continuing its growth trajectory with the opening of two new stores in the Los Angeles area. The first store will be located at Westfield Century City, while the second will be in Larchmont Village.

These new stores, set to open on May 12 and fall of 2022 respectively, mark an expansion of Beyond Yoga's physical retail presence beyond its initial stronghold in California. The brand, which was acquired by Levi Strauss & Co. in 2021, has already opened two stand-alone stores in the fall of 2022 in Santa Monica and Irvine.

The Larchmont store will span 1,500 square feet, while the Santa Monica store will be larger, covering 4,000 square feet. This expansion allows Beyond Yoga to offer an elevated personal shopping experience, showcasing its range of active, lifestyle, maternity, extended sizing, men's, and toddler leggings in a warm, beautiful, and inviting environment.

The new stores will also feature Beyond Yoga's mission of creating an inclusive community focused on body positivity and diversity, with sizes ranging from XXS to 4X. This aligns with the brand's aim to become a $1 billion entity in the competitive athleisure sector.

Beyond Yoga's growth under Levi Strauss & Co.'s ownership is reflected in its financial performance. In its first full fiscal year under Levi's corporate umbrella, Beyond Yoga reported net revenue of $100 million. Levi Strauss & Co., which owns Beyond Yoga along with other brands like Levi’s and Dockers, reported consolidated net revenues of $6.4 billion in 2024.

In addition to its retail expansion, Beyond Yoga also supports a significant wholesale business with over 1,200 accounts nationwide and international reach. The brand's positioning as an athletic lifestyle label, combined with Levi Strauss & Co.'s backing, underscores its ambition to increase scale and play a larger role in the competitive athleisure sector.

Beyond Yoga's studio partners include Barre3, CorePower Yoga, Pure Barre, Equinox, and the Four Seasons hotel. The brand's focus on community engagement and lifestyle-oriented retail experience is evident in its plans for additional stores in Boston’s Seaport neighborhood, Westport, Connecticut, and Marin County, California, later in 2025.

Michelle Wahler, co-founder of Beyond Yoga, stated that expanding their direct-to-consumer (DTC) presence with physical stores has allowed the brand to build community and support its partners. This expansion and product assortment broadening point to Beyond Yoga’s significant growth trajectory under Levi’s ownership.
