Upcoming Performance by La Mirada Symphony: Winter-less Concert on October 27th

The La Mirada Summer Concerts series kicked off on July 9, 2022, with the band 'Flip Out' performing at Regional Park. Fast forward to January 12, 2025, and the La Mirada Symphony took centre stage at the La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts for a special chamber concert.

This chamber concert was an opportunity for residents to experience intimate small ensemble performances. The music director of the La Mirada Symphony Orchestra, Efrain Amaya, was involved in the concert performance on January 12, 2025. The program for the concert included 'Overture to 'The Wasps'' by Ralph Vaughan Williams, 'Dolly Suite' by Gabriel Fauré, and Symphony #3 in F Major by Johannes Brahms.

In a separate event, nearly 30 student musicians from the Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District performed with the La Mirada Symphony on Tuesday, February 18. This collaboration was a testament to the Symphony's commitment to fostering the talents of young musicians in the community.

The La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, located at 14900 La Mirada Blvd, La Mirada, CA 90638, is a venue that has been graced by the presence of the La Mirada Symphony on numerous occasions. The chamber concert on January 12, 2025, was a musical salute to the United States.

The La Mirada Symphony is a California 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization, and donations to the organisation are tax deductible. These donations help keep their concerts free for Southern California residents, ensuring that the performing arts remain accessible to all.

Tickets are not required for the concerts, as all seats are general admission. For questions or more information, contact the theatre at [email protected] or call (562) 944-9801.

The La Mirada Symphony's Federal ID number is #94-3223735. Supporting the La Mirada Symphony helps support the performing arts, enriching the cultural landscape of the community.

It's worth noting that the La Mirada Symphony is not just about grand orchestral performances. In fact, the students represented the District's middle school Honor Band in a previous concert, demonstrating the Symphony's dedication to nurturing musical talent at all levels.

The La Mirada Symphony also hosts events such as pre-concert lectures, like the one scheduled for 2:15 p.m. before a concert. These lectures provide an enriching prelude to the main event, offering insights into the music and the composers behind it.

As the La Mirada Symphony continues to grow and evolve, it remains committed to its mission of providing high-quality, accessible, and educational musical experiences for the community. Whether it's a summer concert in a park or a chamber concert in the theatre, the La Mirada Symphony is a shining beacon of the performing arts in Southern California.
