Throat surgically removed, allegedly "burggraves"
In an unexpected turn of events, a group of children transformed a playground on Rustfeldstraße in Kehl into an impromptu construction site last Sunday afternoon. The children, equipped with shovels, spades, and other gardening tools, undertook a project to dig a moat around a play tower.
The project, which seemed to be unofficial as no adults were present to supervise, raised concerns about safety. The moat, up to 60 centimeters deep and spanning approximately 10 by 10 meters, posed a potential danger to other playground visitors.
Despite the potential risks, the children appeared to be engrossed in their craft, possibly practicing a form of craftsmanship. However, their enthusiasm waned when a responsible parent was asked to dismantle the moat. It is unclear whether the children were reluctant to dismantle their creation or if they were simply following instructions.
The origin of the project, as well as the identities of the children involved, remains a mystery. The information about who dug the moat around the Spielburg on Rustfeldstraße in Kehl on Sunday morning is not publicly available.
This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of adult supervision in children's play areas and the need for clear guidelines regarding unauthorised construction projects. It also highlights the creativity and resourcefulness of children, who can turn even the most ordinary playground into a site of adventure and learning.
