2021 Neustadt Lantern Parade Shines Bright in Bremen
Get ready to experience a magical evening in Bremen as the 2021 Neustadt Lantern Parade (Laternenumzug Neustadt) takes place on November 15th. This community event, a joint effort between the Neustadt neighbourhood management, Martinsclub Bremen e.V., and Sparkasse Bremen, promises an enchanting spectacle of illuminated lanterns, music, and festivities.
The parade kicks off at 4:30 pm from the Werdersee, making its way along the Kleine Weser, and ending at the Piepe at the Buntentor. The route will be filled with musical entertainment, making the journey a truly joyful experience.
As you stroll along, don't forget to visit the participating stores listed on www.martinsclub.de/piepeleuchten, where you can purchase a lantern for a donation of three to seven euros. The proceeds from these sales will be used to fund inclusive educational and leisure activities of Martinsclub.
Before the parade, warm up with hot drinks and snacks from 5:30 pm at the Piepe and on the adjacent parking lot. The Bremen Ukulele Orchestra will provide musical entertainment to get you in the festive mood.
The grand finale of the evening will be a stunning fire show by fire artist Gordon Ruff at 6 pm. Additionally, police, fire department, and Johanniter vehicles will be open for viewing during the event, offering a unique insight into these vital services.
