Store now open in Braunschweig!

In the heart of Brunswick, a vibrant city known for its peculiar stories, a new addition has graced Bohlweg. The "Bohlmarkt," a unique kiosk aimed at a young, modern audience, has recently opened its doors.

The brainchild of Sahin Ekinci, who previously ran the "Baba Kiosk," the "Bohlmarkt" stands out with its large, glowing sign that reads "24/7 Late Night Shop." This new venture targets a demographic seeking something unique compared to traditional news kiosks, offering an array of international sweets, including American, Japanese, and Dutch snacks.

One of the highlights at the "Bohlmarkt" is the selection of TikTok trend articles. The "Garlic Joe" cucumber, boasting a garlic aroma and crispy effect, has been a popular choice among customers. Another standout are the Korean "Pouch-Drinks," mixed with prepared Crushed Ice cups, offering flavors like "Americano Black," "Coconut/Mango," or "Hazelnut."

The "Bohlmarkt" also stocks a variety of Cornflakes varieties only found in the USA, and the small, adorable "Labubus" plush toys, currently experiencing a big hype on social media.

However, the "Bohlmarkt" operators have encountered a variety of stories, some of which are amusing and others less so. A woman had to seek shelter after being harassed and even approached by a man, which the operators find challenging. Operating at night also presents its own set of difficulties.

To ensure safety, the team at the "Bohlmarkt" works with double staffing on Bohlweg on weekends. The store is open 24/7, except for Sunday when it is closed, except for the night from Saturday to Sunday, where it may only open until 1 a.m. due to legal reasons.

The "Bohlmarkt" is located opposite the cult pub "Lindi," making it a convenient stop for late-night snacks. This new addition to Brunswick's Bohlweg is operated by the local business association or merchant collective responsible for that area.

From the taxi driver in a hurry who found a license plate holder within the "Bohlmarkt" after his was stolen, to the diverse range of products on offer, the "Bohlmarkt" is already becoming a beloved part of the Brunswick community. The "Bohlmarkt" carries a unique charm, adding another layer to the city's rich tapestry of stories.
