Sovereign & Bellway Team Up to Build 50+ Affordable Homes in Bristol
Sovereign Housing Association and Bellway have joined forces to deliver over 50 affordable homes in Bristol. The first phase of the development at Berwick Green is expected to be ready for residents between 2025 and 2028, providing 64 homes with a mix of one-to-four-bedroom properties. James Gibson, regional Development Director at Sovereign, sees this as a step forward in providing much-needed social rent homes, with 46 of the 64 homes earmarked for social rent and 18 for shared ownership. Bellway is contributing almost £8 million to local services and infrastructure as part of the planning agreement. Tim Lund, Sales Director for Bellway South West, highlights the positive impact of the development on the local area and services. Sovereign plans to deliver a total of 3,500 new homes in the Bristol area. The Berwick Green development is set to provide much-needed affordable housing in Bristol, with a focus on sustainability and energy efficiency. The collaboration between Sovereign Housing Association and Bellway is expected to have a positive impact on the local area and services, with over 50 new homes and significant investment in infrastructure.
