Seizing Speed Offers Advantage
The city of Nettetal has announced that it will be organising the annual fruit tree distribution event on Saturday, 22nd November, at Westring 119. With a discounted price of 20 euros per tree, this event offers an excellent opportunity for citizens to contribute to biodiversity and climate protection by planting a tree in their garden.
Last year, the trees sold out within a few days, so it's highly recommended to act fast. Interested participants can place their orders immediately through the online application form available at www.nature.ourwebsite. After payment, applicants will receive an invoice for their share.
Eleven different varieties will be available to choose from, including six apple trees, two pear trees, one plum tree, one walnut, one chestnut, and one unspecified variety. Each participant will be assigned an individual time slot for pickup to ensure a smooth and safe distribution process.
In addition to the fruit tree, new owners will receive a planting kit containing a stake, coconut rope, and planting instructions. The trees will be professionally pruned on-site, and there will be tips on planting and care provided at the event.
The Society for Nature and Environmental Protection in the Gütersloh district (GNU) will also be present to provide tips on designing a natural garden for more biodiversity. For any questions, contact Hans-Bernd Hensen from the Environmental Protection Department at 05241 / 82-2084 or via email at environment@ourwebsite.
Please note that only those who pay on time will receive a tree, and if payment is not received in time, the next person on the waiting list will be contacted. The tree must be planted in a garden with at least eight square meters of planting area.
This year's fruit tree distribution event is a joint initiative between the Municipal Environmental Protection Department of Gütersloh and the city of Nettetal. On September 5, 2025, the Municipal Environmental Protection Department of Gütersloh will be distributing 50 fruit trees. The allocation of the 50 fruit trees in Gütersloh on November 22, 2025, is being organised by the city of Nettetal, which manages the application process and conducts a lottery for the tree distribution.
By participating in this event, citizens can make a positive impact on their local environment while enjoying the benefits of a fruitful garden for years to come. Don't miss out – act fast and secure your fruit tree today!
