Saarbrücken Launches Bike Discovery Tours to Boost Cycling and Explore Districts
Saarbrücken is launching a series of discovery tours by bike this year, aiming to boost cycling and help residents and visitors explore the city's districts. The first tour, led by Reni Reissner, will kick off on Sunday, May 4th at 2pm, taking cyclists through the Mitte district.
The initiative, organised by the ADFC, will see experienced tour guides leading participants through the city, showing them how to navigate Saarbrücken by bike for daily life and leisure. Each tour lasts about two hours with short breaks, covering a distance of 15 to 20 kilometers. After the Mitte district, tours are scheduled for Dudweiler on July 6th, Halberg on August 3rd, and the West district on September 7th. Participants will meet at the fountain on St. Johanner Market for the first tour.
Registration for the tours is required in advance via the ADFC Saar website, email, or phone. The tours are free and open to anyone, including families, who want to get to know Saarbrücken by bike. For more information on cycling in Saarbrücken, visit www.saarbruecken.de/radfahren.
