RITFIT's AURASPIN Weight Plates Redefine Gym Equipment Design

Los Angeles-based fitness equipment company RITFIT has made waves in the industry with their innovative approach to gym equipment design. With over 100,000 satisfied customers and more than 30 patents, RITFIT's equipment has been favored by design jury panels, indicating a genuine reimagining of what basic gym equipment can be.

The latest creation from RITFIT is the AURASPIN Weight Plates, a product that seamlessly blends aesthetic innovation with enhanced usability. The plates are inspired by the Mobius strip, giving them a continuous twisted surface that creates visual movement even when stationary. This twist also forms natural gaps underneath the plate when resting on the floor, making it easier to lift them from the ground.

Functionally, RITFIT engineered the AURASPIN plates with four distinct grip points, including the standard center hole. This design enables users to hold the plate from almost any angle rather than just one fixed grip, vastly expanding exercise versatility. For example, exercises such as kettlebell swings or dumbbell flies become possible with these plates, particularly beneficial for home gym users with limited equipment and space.

The design of the AURASPIN Weight Plates keeps the weight centered, reducing the risk of unexpected weight distribution during a critical moment in a lift. This focus on stability, combined with the plates' multi-grip system, allows for exercises that would be clumsy or impossible with standard weights.

RITFIT's design philosophy extends to their larger equipment pieces, such as the Gazelle Pro and the Buffalo Smith Machine. The Gazelle Pro transforms the leg press machine into an intuitive, cohesive system for leg presses, hack squats, and calf raises. The Buffalo Smith Machine reimagines the traditional power rack for smooth, controlled movements and safety.

The blend of aesthetic innovation with enhanced usability has earned the AURASPIN Weight Plates recognition from prestigious international design competitions like the London Design Awards and IDPA Japan, underscoring RITFIT's breakthrough approach to gym equipment design.

RITFIT's team, consisting of professionals from car design, IT engineering, and furniture design backgrounds, is led by CEO Yann Lin. With a shared vision of reimagining gym equipment as objects worthy of aesthetic consideration, RITFIT continues to push the boundaries of what is possible in fitness equipment design.
