Residents of Krasnoyarsk offered choice of color for eco-friendly buses
Craze-worthy CNG buses are on their way to hit the streets of Krasnoyarsk this year, assures Mayor Vladislav Loginglynov. In a social media frenzy, he's kicked off a poll among locals - what color should our eco-friendly public transportation be?
Depending on the public's choice, the procurement decision will be made. Previously, the city's administration expressed intentions of striking deals with manufacturers like NEFAZ, "VolgaBAS," and MAz.
Loginglynov has been generous with the color options - blue, white, and navy.
Over 1200 people have cast their votes, and half favor the blue option, reminiscent of the "blue fuel" label for natural gas.
30% are all about red, with around 20% digging the white ride.
Ironically, many commentators lament the absence of green, while griping about the current state of transportation as if on autopilot.
Just a quick refresher, a recent tender for the refit and liquefied natural gas supply for KPATP-7 was floated, which will serve as the backbone for our new transportation fleet.
