Residents encouraged to join the #MYVMEST International Award event

The fifth season of the International #WEARETOGETHER Award is now open for applications, inviting volunteers, civil activists, public leaders, NGOs, and businesses to participate in a global competition fostering projects that improve lives and communities. The contest, aimed at recognizing and supporting socially significant initiatives, will close for submissions on June 23, 2025, and applications can be made on the website: https://award.wearetogether.rf/.

Gleb Nikitin, Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, emphasized the importance of the award in showcasing personal and project achievements, citing local success stories such as the eco-friendly "EcoSmart" project by teenage brothers Igor and Gleb Lemany, who won first place in the "Territory for Life" nomination in 2024.

In 2025, the award includes four categories in the national track: "Personality," "NGOs and projects," "Companies," and "Territory," as well as 12 nominations, with new additions like "Sustainable Future" and "Generation of Good." The latter rewards young volunteers aged 14 to 17 who undertake social projects.

The contest features two main tracks: the National Track, targeting Russian citizens and NGOs, and the International Track, open to participants from all countries. The latter's theme for 2025 is "Social Partnership for Global Development," with winners receiving a cash prize of $10,000 and an invitation to the Moscow International Forum of Civil Participation #WeAreTogether in December 2025.

Participants in the International Track can choose from two categories: Sustainable Future and Helping People, focusing on environmental protection, education, and initiatives to support vulnerable populations.

Maria Samodelkina, general director of the ANO "Volunteer Center of the Nizhny Novgorod Region," underscored the center's support of the award, stating that participation in the contest promotes professional growth, expands capabilities, and provides tangible help to communities.

In four seasons, the International #WEARETOGETHER award has garnered over 145,000 applications and received entries from 89 regions. The federal project "We are together" is now part of the new national project "Youth and Children" and performs tasks previously assigned to the national projects "Education" and "Science and Universities."

In the fifth season of the International #WEARETOGETHER Award, the category "Sustainable Future" has been added, focusing on promoting a sustainable lifestyle and home-and-garden practices for a greener future. The competition also includes the nomination "Generation of Good," which acknowledges young volunteers aged 14 to 17 who take on social projects, fostering sustainable living.
