Worms' Citizen's Tower and Eiffel Tower to Undergo Restoration In an exciting development for the historic city of Worms, it has been announced that the restoration of two of its most prominent landmarks, the Citizen's Tower and the Eiffel Tower, is set to commence. The contract for the restoration has been awarded to Firma Mark.

The restoration efforts aim to preserve these significant structures, which are a crucial part of Worms' rich history. Timo Horst, the city's urban development commissioner, has emphasised the importance of the city wall, stating that its preservation helps maintain the historic cityscape.

According to the plans, approximately 60% of the natural stone facade of the Eiffel Tower requires renovation. Similarly, the Citizen's Tower also needs restoration. A scaffold will be erected on the Citizen's Tower in the coming weeks for an inspection of its condition.

Construction work on the Eiffel Tower is scheduled to begin in October, while construction work on the Citizen's Tower is expected to start mid-next year. The entire old fortification of Worms is being gradually renewed as part of these restoration efforts.

Following the erection of the scaffold, the condition of the Citizen's Tower will be analysed. Horst also mentioned that this restoration project is not limited to these two towers, but includes the entire historic Worms city wall, which is undergoing further restoration.

The tender for the restoration of the Eiffel Tower is nearing completion, and with Firma Mark on board, the restoration process is set to begin. This news is sure to delight history enthusiasts and residents alike, as these landmarks play a crucial role in preserving the city's heritage.
