Renault unveils grand display on the iconic Champs-Élysées
Renault is set to revolutionise the way it presents itself to the world with the launch of its new flagship store, Le Défilé Renault - The Carwalk Renault. Located on the prestigious Champs-Élysées, this 1,660 square meter space promises to be more than just a store - it will be an experience.
The journey of Renault's flagship store on the Champs-Élysées began in 1910, when Louis Renault, the founder of the Brand, opened a showroom at number 53 to promote his automobiles. Over the years, the complex expanded, incorporating neighbouring buildings to display cars, trucks, buses, and tractors.
In the 1950s, Renault modernised the space, replacing the classic building with a cement structure, a symbol of modernity at the time. The Pub Renault, as it was known, became a gathering place open late, where visitors could immerse themselves in the world of Renault. In 1972, it partially transformed into a museum, becoming the first automobile museum in Paris.
The Pub Renault, and later L'Atelier Renault, embodied the slogan "Créateur d'Automobiles" and reflected Renault's values of modernity and creativity. In 1999, under the leadership of President Louis Schweitzer, Renault renewed its flagship store concept, creating L'Atelier Renault in 2000. The museum exhibited historical models like the 1898 Voiturette and futuristic prototypes.
Now, Gilles Vidal, the person leading the preparations for the new Renault flagship showcase on the Champs-Élysées, is set to redefine the Brand's presentation once again. Le Défilé Renault aims to be a meeting point between past and future, celebrating 115 years of Renault history and projecting towards new frontiers.
The global showcase will be a tribute to the design and technology of the French constructor, uniting tradition and innovation in a space that promises to be iconic. The 1,660 square meter surface of Le Défilé Renault will include interactive spaces, areas dedicated to the Brand's history, and advanced technologies like the digital twin.
Le Défilé Renault will not just be an exhibition of automobiles, but a true catwalk for design, technology, and innovation. The digital twin of the new headquarters is available, offering a virtual preview of what visitors will soon be able to admire. This new incarnation of the Renault flagship store, named "Le Défilé Renault - The Carwalk Renault", is set to redefine how the Brand presents itself to the world.
Visitors to Le Défilé Renault can expect a unique context to discover Renault's know-how, with interactive spaces, advanced technologies, and a celebration of the Brand's rich history. The new flagship store promises to be an unmissable destination for car enthusiasts and the general public alike.
