Life in Groningen has been a mix of challenges and rewards for Simi. Opening a bank account and registering a SIM card were straightforward processes with the necessary documents. The city, known for its student population, has a vibrant atmosphere reminiscent of university towns.
Traveling has been a part of Simi's life since moving to Groningen. He has visited France, Belgium, and Spain, and while Brussels didn't meet his expectations, appearing dirty, he found Paris's transportation system efficient, thanks to technology integration, including apps for bus schedules and traffic updates.
Simi's move to solar power has not been without its hiccups. Inefficiencies in solar backup systems can be caused by smaller batteries or poor installation. Simi advises that if one wants to go into renewable energy, they should consider wind energy due to higher demand.
