Regional products spotlighted by new association

A new association is set to be established in Regensburg, with Doris Luttner, a prominent spokesperson, playing a significant role in its founding. The association aims to make high-quality regional products more visible by connecting production, processing, trade, gastronomy, and consumers in the region.

Luttner and Anna Ramsauer, spokeswomen of the initiative, have collaborated closely with the project team in developing the structure and statutes of the association. The team's hard work will continue in August, with intense focus on structure, statutes, public relations, and financing, divided among theme-specific working groups.

The association's efforts extend beyond marketing, as it seeks to value regional products throughout the entire value chain. Numerous actors have expressed their willingness to actively engage in the emerging association, demonstrating a strong commitment to the project.

The association's structure and statutes have been developed based on previous workshops, with central topics including the content design of the statutes, the association structure with an honorary board and theme-specific working groups, membership, and financing.

Various measures are planned, including joint events, public relations, and new formats for presenting regional delicacies. The project also benefits from the "Ganz Große Küche! Regional.Bio.Regensburg" project, which opens up new sales channels, particularly for smaller businesses and niche products, through innovative approaches such as a digital sales platform and targeted cooperation with regional gastronomy.

The project is supported by the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy and is part of the "Dachmarke in the Region Regensburg" cooperation project, which runs from 1 June 2024 to 31 May 2027.

Interested parties are welcome to join the association, with registration possible at www.landkreis-regensburg.de/Regionalmanagement. For inquiries about the project, you can contact the Landratsamt Regensburg - Regionalmanagement Meyerweissflog at [email protected].

The official founding of the association is planned for autumn 2025. This exciting new venture promises to bring together production, processing, trade, gastronomy, and consumers for exchange, cooperation, and joint actions, ultimately making high-quality regional products more visible to the public.
