Offenbach Carnival Kicks Off with Honorary Council Appointments and Town Hall Storm
The Offenbach Carnival Club (OKV) is gearing up for an exciting 2025 season, with a series of events and appointments that promise to make it a memorable carnival for all.
The traditional town hall storm, a key part of the Offenbach carnival tradition, will take place on February 15, 2025, starting at 1:11 p.m. This year's event is set to be a highlight of the OKV campaign, which promises to be a real carnival success story.
Silke Seeger, granddaughter of Alfred Seeger, who was Landesverweser of Lederania from 1954 to 1999, and Gertrud Marx, chairwoman of the Tempelsee settlers' community and honorary city councilor, have been appointed to the honorary council of the Offenbach Carnival Club. Their appointments are considered important for the preservation of the Offenbach carnival tradition.
Anja Kofahl, chairwoman of the Offenbach cultural committee, and Kim-Sarah Speer, a member of the state parliament, have also been appointed to the honorary council. Anja Kofahl is an enthusiastic visitor of carnival events, while Kim-Sarah Speer has pledged to actively support the Offenbach carnival tradition. Lukas Kreher, former Leder Baron from Obertshausen, has been appointed to the honorary council as well, strengthening the friendship between the fools from Offenbach and Obertshausen.
The Offenbach Carnival Club presented the appointments of these new honorary ladies and gentlemen at its grand "Fireworks of Good Humor" event, which marked the kick-off of the new campaign. The event also featured an autograph session at the KOMM Center from 11 a.m.
The day begins with a visit to the weekly market, and the stage program on the town hall square is free for all carnival fans. With over 100 upcoming events during the carnival season, there's plenty for everyone to enjoy.
