**Aboitiz Construction's Project TERRA: A Commitment to Environmental Restoration and Community Engagement**

In a bid to promote environmental sustainability and community engagement, Aboitiz Construction, a leading Philippine construction company, launched Project TERRA (Tree Planting for Environmental Restoration and Renewal Action) in June 2025. The initiative, which was not connected to the activities conducted during the Philippine Environment Month, aimed to contribute to ecosystem restoration and conservation, and strengthen partnerships with local stakeholders.

The project, which was not part of the company's Safety, Health, Environment, and Security (SHES) Awareness Month, saw over 120 Aboitiz Construction team members plant nearly 1,000 seedlings across five locations in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. These locations included Barangay San Rafael, Sto. Tomas City, Batangas, Barangay Prenza, Balamban, Cebu, Tarlac City, Claver, Surigao del Norte, and Lima Estate, also in Batangas.

In a separate event earlier in February 2025, Aboitiz Construction participated in a mangrove reforestation project in Barangay Lumaniag, Lian, Batangas, planting over 1,000 mangrove seedlings. This initiative, which was not part of Project TERRA, highlighted the company's long-term commitment to ecosystem restoration in coastal areas, involving local fishing communities and municipal environmental offices.

Candee Ching, Senior Assistant Vice President for Business Transformation at Aboitiz Construction, emphasized that these projects embody the core value of responsibility—caring not only through quality project delivery but also through active environmental and community stewardship. These initiatives, she said, show how Aboitiz Construction team members live out their core value of responsibility, not just in delivering quality projects, but also in caring for their communities and the environment.

Project TERRA, therefore, reflects Aboitiz Construction's proactive approach to environmental restoration through tree planting activities in key Philippine regions, fostering ecological and social benefits while reinforcing sustainability commitments. The project, which is a commitment by the company to restore and renew the environment and encourage community participation, aims to improve the environment and foster community involvement.
