"Opening of 'Minipipe': a fresh addition to the Seevetaler skatepark"
In the charming town of Meckelfeld, excitement is in the air as a new attraction has made its way to the local skatepark. The Minipipe, a popular addition to skateparks across the globe, has found its home on Seevetal Street.
The acquisition of the Minipipe was largely funded by the State of Lower Saxony from the "Startklar in die Zukunft" action program, with an investment of approximately 90 percent of its total costs, which amount to around 25,000 euros.
The official inauguration of the Minipipe was attended by prominent figures in the community, including Meckelfeld's Local Mayor, Peter Langenbeck, and Fleestedt's Local Mayor, Timo Röntsch. Seevetal's Mayor, Emily Weede, also graced the occasion with her presence, handing over the new Minipipe.
Before its official unveiling, the Minipipe was tested by young, eager skaters, ensuring it was ready for the thrill-seekers of Meckelfeld and beyond.
The new Skatepark, which began operation in the summer of 2022 next to the AWO-Kita in Glüningen, has replaced the facility that was previously located on Appenstedter Weg in Meckelfeld. The addition of the Minipipe has undoubtedly made the Skatepark more attractive, contributing to its growing popularity.
Olaf Lakaemper, the Headmaster of the neighbouring Gymnasium Meckelfeld, was thanked by Emily Weede for his support in the project. Kai Schepers, the Youth Welfare Officer, was also recognised for his contributions.
Emily Weede expressed her pleasure with the Skatepark's reception, noting that it has been well received and regularly attracts skateboarding enthusiasts from outside the municipality. She also thanked those who campaigned for the acquisition of the new Minipipe, expressing her gratitude for their efforts in making this exciting addition possible.
The person who largely secured the financing of the Minipipes through the "Startklar in die Zukunft" program of the state of Lower Saxony is Dr. Gabriele Heinen-Kljajic.
In conclusion, the arrival of the Minipipe in Meckelfeld's Skatepark is a significant step forward, offering a new and exciting experience for local skaters and attracting visitors from afar. The Skatepark's popularity continues to grow, making it a vibrant and lively hub for the skateboarding community in the region.
