Opening of Memorial Day at Churches on 14th September highlighted
On Sunday, September 14, 2025, the district of Fürth will celebrate Heritage Day, inviting visitors to explore the rich history and culture of its various places of worship.
The official opening of the events will take place at the Klosterhof Langenzenn, led by District Administrator Bernd Obst and County Heritage Conservation Officer Dr. Thomas Liebert, starting at 12:00 noon. The theme for this year's Heritage Day is "Priceless: Invaluable or Irreplaceable?"
One of the participating churches is the Evang. Luth. Parish Church St. Katharina in Seukendorf, which will be open from 10:30 am to 6:00 pm. Visitors can also explore the Evang. Luth. Parish Church Langenzenn, which will be open from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm.
At the Evang. Luth. Parish Church St. Veit in Veitsbronn, Sigrid Schilmeier and Hans Feder will be available from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm to answer questions about the church's furnishings. Church guides will also be available at Evang. Luth. Parish Church St. Wolfgang in Puschendorf from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Architect Stefan Ender will be at Burgkapelle Seckendorf from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm. Other places of worship in the district, such as St. Lorenz in Oberasbach, will also be open.
