October pending bicycle training for senior citizens by Bonn police is now open for registration.
The Bonn Police has announced a two-day e-bike course specifically designed for seniors, aimed at promoting safe and enjoyable e-biking. The course will be held on October 15 and 17, 2025, from 10:00 to 12:30 at Landgrabenweg 150, 53227 Bonn (parking lot at the Skate Park).
Organised by the Bonn Police, the course will provide seniors with essential knowledge on safe handling of e-bikes. The focus is on the joy of riding and mutual support, ensuring a relaxed and enjoyable learning environment.
Last year, it was reported that approximately 25% of e-bike accident victims in Bonn were seniors, with a total of 263 e-bike riders having accidents under the Bonn Police's jurisdiction. In light of this, the course aims to reduce the number of accidents among seniors by equipping them with the necessary skills and confidence to ride safely.
Registration for the course is via email at [email protected]. For further questions, the Bonn Police Press Office can be contacted at 0228 - 151023 or via fax at 0228-151202.
More seniors in Bonn are embracing e-bikes for increased daily mobility, and the Bonn Police's course is a timely initiative to support this growing trend. The course is free of charge and does not impose any performance pressure, making it accessible and welcoming for all seniors interested in e-biking.
