Say Goodbye to High Pressure with Zero Pressure
Got a micro-irrigation setup but dealing with low water pressure? Zero Pressure is here to save the day! This exceptional faucet timer delivers water even under minimal pressure values, outperforming standard timers. The secret behind this superpower lies in an internal valve fueled by two 1.5V batteries, allowing operation without depending on hydraulic system characteristics. Imagine that – programming with ease, even on low-pressure days!
Understanding Zero Pressure's Magic
Its uniqueness lies in a spherical ball valve that doesn't need pressure to function, giving it total independence. But a few aspects about the area you're watering must be considered:
- The size of the area
- Pipe lengths
- Water consumption of sectors
Every irrigation system should have suitable water values for optimal performance. Zero Pressure, with its minimal pressure and flow, can water up to 15m² and is fantastic for flower beds, terraces, or small vegetable gardens. That's right – no more worrying about pressure issues for your beautiful garden! And if you're curious about its battery status, just check the LED between the buttons.
Mastering Zero Pressure Control
Programming the Zero Pressure unit is a breeze: just use the two control buttons to set watering duration and frequency. In no time, you'll be effortlessly watering your plants!
The start time depends on when programming is done. Let's break it down:
• Example 1: It's 8 AM, set watering frequency to every hour (1 hour). The timer starts watering for the first time an hour later, at 9 AM, and continues at hourly intervals.
• Example 2: It's 8 AM, set watering frequency to twice a day (every 12 hours). The timer will water for the first time 12 hours later, at 8 PM, and performs subsequent cycles every 12 hours.
• Example 3: It's 8 AM, with watering frequency set to once a day (every 24 hours). The timer starts watering the next day, at 8 AM, continuing every 24 hours.
For instant (manual) watering, move the right cursor to "ON".
Despite its simplicity, Zero Pressure offers some flexibility through the delay button, allowing you to delay the start time of the first irrigation by one or two hours. So, the start time will be a sum of the frequency hours + set delay hours.
Let's take an example:
• Example 1: It's 8:00, set watering frequency to every hour (1 hour), but delayed the start by an additional hour. The timer starts the first irrigation two hours later, at 10:00, and continues at one-hour intervals.
• Example 2: It's 8:00, set watering frequency to twice a day (every 12 hours), but delayed the start by two hours. The timer starts watering after 14 hours (12 hours dictated by the frequency + 2 hours dictated by the delay), at 10:00, and performs subsequent cycles every 12 hours.
Usage Recommendations
Zero Pressure is an outdoor timer, built to handle rain and designed to stay on the faucet securely. However, during winter or when ambient temperatures drop below 4°C, it's best to uninstall and store the timer in a dry, protected place to prevent water from expanding and damaging the device. If needed, complement the system with Drip Tubes or Porous Tubes. For novice gardeners embarking on their irrigation journey or those who enjoy DIY projects, don't forget the Zero Pressure timer is available in two handy kit versions: MyFarm "Drip Tube Kit" and MyFarm "Porous Tube Kit", perfect for setting up a vegetable garden without breaking the bank on separate purchases!
