New Year 2025 brings twice the joy with Kater Salabim's childhood celebration

The Walbusch Youth Foundation's generosity has made it possible for the association "Salabim and Friends e.V." to offer free story readings for children in Solingen. These engaging events are designed to make stories memorable and are part of a wider programme of activities by Salabim and Friends e.V. for Solingen children.

The story readings, which typically take place at local libraries or community centers, will feature experienced pedagogues such as Sandra Kratz, Dip.-Psychologist at the Municipal Clinic, and Pedagogue Christiane Windrath, former director of the Youth House. To cater to children of different language backgrounds, trained reading mentors will be brought in as needed.

The activities will be more than just story readings. They will also include music, games to promote social skills, and movement, making them an interactive and enjoyable experience for the children. The stories will be drawn from picture book stories featuring Tomcat Salabim and other literary heroes.

To get the exact schedule, venues, and details about the pedagogues involved, it's recommended to check the official Salabim and Friends e.V. website or contact the Solingen public library directly. They often provide up-to-date event calendars and information about the storytellers and educators participating in these readings.

For coordination and bookings, please contact Claudia Elsner-Overberg, Dipl.-Librarian, at the phone number 0170 / 493 8440. The free readings can be booked immediately, so don't miss out on this wonderful opportunity for your child to enjoy a memorable storytelling experience!

The story readings will be part of an enriching home-and-garden lifestyle for Solingen children, with activities extending beyond storytelling, including music, games, and movement. The experience will be further enhanced by featuring pedagogues from various backgrounds, such as Sandra Kratz and Christiane Windrath, focusing on providing stories from literature in a fun and engaging manner.
