Nano Puff jacket from Patagonia undergoes major renovation after several years
For 2025, Patagonia has made significant updates to its popular Nano Puff Jacket and Nano Puff Hoody, focusing on mobility, durability, insulation performance, and fit.
The new designs feature a refined fit with lengthened shoulders, allowing for better arm movement and layering, benefiting activities like climbing and hiking. The quilting pattern has been standardized across both the jacket and hoody, ensuring that the 60g PrimaLoft Gold Insulation Eco remains evenly distributed, preventing clumping or shifting even after repeated compressions. Additionally, the thread tension in the quilting was adjusted to increase abrasion resistance, helping the jacket better withstand pack straps, rock scrapes, and everyday wear.
The insulation technology remains PrimaLoft Gold Eco, known for being lightweight, warm, and retaining heat even when wet. Both the jacket and hoody remain highly packable, compressing into their own pockets for easy transport.
The Nano Puff Hoody in 2025 also includes a "High Loft" version with significantly more PrimaLoft Silver Eco insulation (170g in the body and 200g in the arms), offering increased warmth suitable for colder conditions. The fit of the hoody is balanced—not too tight or boxy—with features like a drop hem in the back to prevent exposure when moving.
The Nano Puff range, designed for climbers, hikers, and commuters, still retains its sleek, lightweight design. The Baby Nano Puffer-Alls, an insulated overall for the smallest adventurers, have been introduced as part of the 2025 line. These all-in-ones are designed with the same weather-resistant outer fabric and synthetic insulation as the adult Nano Puff.
The updated Nano Puff series is now available at Patagonia for prices starting from $99 (~£74.54/ AU$153.33). With these enhancements, Patagonia describes these updates as making the Nano Puff series “your do-it-all jacket made better” by enhancing comfort, durability, and versatility without compromising its well-loved lightweight warmth and packability[1][2][4].
