The cultural festival "Storm the Castle!" at Wilhelmsburg is set to host an exciting event this summer, with three dates scheduled: 27 July 2025, 3 August 2025, and 10 August 2025. Among the festival's many attractions, the Museum from the Wheelbarrow will make a special appearance during the Family Days.

Ulm Museum's interactive project, The Museum from the Wheelbarrow, was developed to keep the public engaged during the museum's closure and renovation period. This innovative project aims to bring the museum experience outside its traditional walls, transporting selected exhibits and interactive elements in a wheelbarrow, allowing people to encounter museum objects and stories in various public and unexpected locations.

During the "Storm the Castle!" cultural festival, the mobile museum will be present, offering visitors a unique opportunity to engage with Ulm Museum's exhibits in a lively, festive context. The project is designed to maintain a cultural connection and encourage museum visits after reopening by creating anticipation and providing engaging educational experiences in the interim.

Children can creatively express their ideas for the new Ulm Museum at the mobile museum, following the motto "We make the museum as we like it." A broom adorned with flyers is provided at the mobile museum, and special pylons are positioned for creative building. A toolbox on a folding table contains building cards featuring views, objects, and artworks from Ulm Museum.

Entry to the mobile museum's experimental area is explicitly encouraged, unlike a typical construction site. Each day of the festival will take place between 2 PM and 5 PM. The mobile museum will be accessible to the public during these hours.

This initiative is part of the Museum from the Wheelbarrow's ongoing efforts to bring Ulm Museum's exhibits to various locations throughout the city. Since the museum is currently closed and undergoing renovation, the mobile museum serves as an accessible and creative way to connect with the public.

For precise dates and activities for the Ulm Museum's The Museum from the Wheelbarrow event at the "Storm the Castle!" festival, we recommend checking Ulm Museum’s official website or contacting their press office for detailed current schedules and descriptions.

Visitors can explore Ulm Museum's exhibits in a festival setting, as the Museum from the Wheelbarrow will be a part of the "Storm the Castle!" cultural event, offering a unique blend of home-and-garden lifestyle with fine art and culture. Furthermore, children at the festival are invited to creatively design their vision for the new Ulm Museum as part of the Museum from the Wheelbarrow project.
