  • Lowe's is leading the pack as they bring the Lowe's Style Studio app to three stores, allowing customers to test it out on their Apple Vision Pro headsets. This experiment starts this month.
  • With the help of a store associate, you can virtually customize your kitchen by visualizing preset styles, tweaking fixtures, appliances, and materials using the Apple Vision Pro devices in-store. Once you've made your decision, you can receive a PDF of your design via email, text message, or AirDrop to share with anyone, and then purchase the selected items directly.
  • The pilot will kick off in Charlotte, North Carolina; North Bergen, New Jersey; and Sunnyvale, California. You can either walk in or book an appointment online at these locations.

Lowe's is all about increasing customer and staff in-store experiences with technology, as demonstrated by the launch of their Lowe's Style Studio experience back in February. They've already rolled out tools like Measure Your Space for iOS app users and created digital replicas of their stores for optimized operations.

Other retailers like Best Buy, Wayfair, and StockX have followed suit, but Lowe's aims to take it up a notch by letting customers design their own kitchen using Apple Vision Pro's spatial computing capabilities. With Lowe's Style Studio, you can create millions of unique design combinations.

Seemantini Godbole, Lowe's Chief Digital and Information Officer, shares excitement about this new venture, stating, "We believe Apple Vision Pro can elevate in-store kitchen design experiences, allowing customers to visualize their dream kitchens using cutting-edge spatial computing technology."

Despite investing in technology, Lowe's has faced a few bumps recently due to a challenging housing market. In their latest quarter, net sales dipped 4.4% year over year to $21.4 billion, and Q1 comparable sales slid 4% due to a decrease in DIY big-ticket discretionary spending.

P.S.: I couldn't find any solid evidence to suggest that other retailers besides Lowe's have launched Apple Vision Pro apps for product previews. However, Lowe's seems to be paving the way with this advanced technology! 👀
