Literary festivities in Wiesbaden kick off with recitals and poetic exhibitions
Wiesbaden Literature Days: A Week of Literary and Artistic Celebrations
The city of Wiesbaden is set to host a week-long literary extravaganza, known as the Wiesbaden Literature Days, from September 24th to 30th. This cultural event, organised by the Wiesbaden Cultural Office and the Literaturhaus Villa Clementine with the support of the Kulturfonds Frankfurt RheinMain, will take place at various venues across the city.
On September 25th, the Thalhaus Theater, located at Nerotal 18, will be the stage for a captivating poetry concert. The international "Poesiekollektiv Landschaft" will take centre stage, promising a unique blend of music, verse, and film. The concert, based on the poems of Sascha Conrad, Ulrike Almut Sandig, and Grigory Semenchuk, is expected to be danceable and captivating.
In a separate event on the same day, at 7:30 PM, authors Annett Groeschner, Peggy Maedler, and Wenke Seemann will present their book "Three East German Women Get Drunk and Found the Ideal State." This thought-provoking nonfiction work, which sparked a broad societal discussion, has been a bestseller in 2024.
The poetry concert and the book presentation are just two of the many highlights of the Wiesbaden Literature Days. Another intriguing performance will feature Annett Groeschner, Peggy Maedler, and Wenke Seemann in a reading performance.
The event is being hosted by Jaroslav Rudis, and tickets for the poetry concert can be purchased in advance or at the box office. The Wiesbaden Literature Days commenced on September 24th, and the city is eagerly awaiting a fascinating week of words, images, and sound. Don't miss out on this literary feast!
