Large Visitor Increase at the Leipzig Hobby Fair - Leipzig Hobby Fair 2025 Breaks Records, Causes A14 Traffic Congestion
The A14 highway experienced traffic congestion on Saturday morning due to the high number of visitors attending the Leipzig Hobby Fair. The event, held from Friday to Sunday, drew a record-breaking 78,800 visitors in 2025, a significant increase from the previous year.
The Hobby Fair, also known as Hobby Messe Leipzig 2025, spanned three days and showcased an impressive 469 exhibitors from 18 different countries. These exhibitors included manufacturers, traders, and around 100 clubs and initiatives. The event covered a wide range of interests, from model building and model railways to technology, games, creativity, and sports.
The increase in attendance, by approximately 10,000 visitors compared to 2024, highlights the fair's growing popularity. This surge in visitors led to traffic issues on the A14 highway, with many attendees travelling to the event.
The 2025 edition of the Leipzig Hobby Fair proved to be a success, attracting a record number of visitors and exhibitors. Despite the traffic congestion on the A14 highway, the event provided a platform for various hobbyists to showcase their interests and connect with like-minded individuals.
