King Charles III Celebrates 35th Anniversary of The King's Foundation with Young Industry Leaders

King Charles III recently hosted a reception at Dumfries House estate to celebrate the 35th anniversary of The King's Foundation. The event, part of the '35 under 35' network's visit, saw young industry leaders showcase their innovations and contribute to a time capsule launched earlier this year.

The King met with a delegation of young adults, all members of the '35 under 35' network selected by the foundation. These individuals, representing various fields such as craftsmanship, sustainable fashion, architecture, health, and environmentalism, were considered outstanding in their respective industries.

Each attendee contributed an item to the foundation's anniversary time capsule. Jo Rance donated a painting of the Kitchen Garden at Highgrove Gardens in Gloucestershire, while Angelica Ellis contributed her 'tambour' hook, used for bespoke and couture embroidery. Siobhan Mackenzie, meanwhile, donated a sample of the official Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games tartan and its certification.

The reception served as a showcasing event where these young innovators displayed their work to the King. The time capsule, launched in January 2023, will serve as a reminder of their achievements and the foundation's impact over the past 35 years.
