Jubilant World Children's Day Festivities in Nordhorn

Join the city of Nordhorn, Germany, on Saturday, September 20, 2025, as they host the annual World Children's Day Festival. This one-day event, taking place from 12 PM to 5 PM, is a celebration of children's rights and a chance for young and old alike to learn, play, and support a worthy cause.

The festival will be held at the youth center on Denekamper Street. Visitors can expect a variety of creative, skill-based, and movement activities, including a low ropes course, popular face painting, and interactive action stations.

Two talented balloon artists, Dirk Baumann and Frank Boss, will showcase their art, creating colourful and imaginative balloon sculptures that are sure to delight.

The theme of this year's World Children's Day is "Children's Rights: Building Blocks for Democracy". Visitors can learn about children's rights in a playful way at the Kinderschutzbund station.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all, visitors are advised to wear sturdy shoes for the low ropes course and remember that the festival is free of charge. In case of bad weather, the festival will take place indoors at the youth center.
