Gear up! Mexico City is all set to roll out various cycling activities for World Bicycle Day, celebrated on June 3.
Clara Brugada, the city's chief of government, has unveiled an exciting lineup of events. The Grand Ride, stretching across 12 kilometers, is scheduled for June 14, starting from Utopía Iztacalco to the Monument to the Revolution. The ride kicks off at 8:00 AM and zips along iconic thoroughfares like Viaducto and Paseo de la Reforma.
On the same day, the city invites you to experience its nocturnal charm with NocTuBici, a night ride meant for exploring the city under the stars.
Brugada Molina teased an agreement with Ocesa to utilize the Hermanos Rodríguez Autodrome for rides of varying modalities – full track, limited-hour full track, or specific sections.
Planning ahead is the Metropolitan Ride from Texcoco in the State of Mexico to the Zócalo square. Brugada said, "Cycling between two major cities, two federal entities—it's a fantastic experience you can have daily."
