Intensive City Sweeping Operation in Shymkent
In the heart of Kazakhstan, the city of Shymkent has seen a significant transformation as part of the "Clean Kazakhstan" program. This large-scale environmental movement, actively implemented across the nation, has brought about a noticeable change in the city's five districts.
The action in Shymkent involved the entire urban area, with residents and communal services working hand in hand to clean public spaces, streets, and children's playgrounds. The Al-Farabi District, for instance, saw the courtyards of houses No. 33, 35, and 37 tidied up, while volunteers and employees of the KGE "Taza Olke" actively participated in waste collection on Turkestan Street.
In the Enbekshin District, over 130 people and 12 units of equipment worked together to clean the area around School No. 30 and the street of Pshenichnykh. Meanwhile, in the Abay District, participants cleaned the street of Asfendiyarov in the Akzhayyk microdistrict, removing a total of 15 tons of waste.
The Karatau District was not left behind, as around 100 people and 8 units of equipment cleaned the streets of Kenjaryk and Kulaeger in the Nurtas microdistrict, removing a total of 28 tons of waste.
However, the Turkestan District did not participate in this round of cleaning initiatives. Yet, the district was not left untouched, as 100 people and 5 units of special equipment were involved in the landscaping of the courtyards of houses No. 40, 40a, and 40b on Tamirlanovskoye Shosse. A total of 5 tons of waste was collected and transported to the city's "Aktas" landfill during this landscaping.
The city akimat reported that the event aimed to enhance ecological conditions and beautify the urban territory. Participants noted that such events not only improve ecological conditions but also foster unity and harmony in society.
The city residents demonstrated high levels of social responsibility and active involvement in the cleanup initiatives. At the invitation of the Youth Resource Center, young people collected around 1 ton of household waste on Turkestan Street, Shymkent.
As the "Clean Kazakhstan" program continues to roll out across Kazakhstan, it is clear that the city of Shymkent is making significant strides towards a cleaner, greener, and more harmonious future.
