Arabella Kiesbauer, a well-known television presenter from Vienna, is set to take the helm as host of the Austrian version of the popular show "Bares für Rares", starting this fall on Puls 4 and streaming platform Joyn.

Kiesbauer, who has a passion for flea markets, will succeed Willi Gabalier, the previous Austrian host, as she brings her years of television experience to the position. In her new role, she will accompany sellers as their items are appraised by experts and presented to dealers in an attempt to secure the best possible price.

Kiesbauer expressed her excitement for the show, highlighting her interest in the personal stories behind each rarity, whether they are heirlooms, attic finds, or collector's items. She has previously collected old radios and coffee grinders and is eager to delve into the fascinating world of antiques.

In a recent statement, Kiesbauer added a wink emoji, jokingly suggesting that her collected items could be sold off as the host of "Bares für Rares Austria". She also expressed her admiration for Horst Lichter, the charismatic host of the original "Bares für Rares" show.

The original format of "Bares für Rares" was previously broadcast on ServusTV, hosted by Willi Gabalier, who is the brother of folk-rock 'n' roller Andreas Gabalier. The exact start date for "Bares für Rares Austria" on Puls 4 has not been announced yet, but production is set to begin in September 2025.

Kiesbauer hopes to emulate Lichter in her role as host of "Bares für Rares Austria", bringing her own unique charm, wit, and spirit to the show. The new season is sure to be a hit with audiences, as they watch Kiesbauer navigate the world of antiques and hear the captivating stories behind each rarity.

Arabella Kiesbauer plans to incorporate her passion for flea market finds into her new role, blending vintage fashion-and-beauty and home-and-garden items with the usual antiques on "Bares für Rares Austria." As she follows in Horst Lichter's footsteps, she hopes to introduce a new lifestyle perspective to the show.
