Historical Marker Unveiled at Kröllgeshof Estate
The "Signage of Historic Buildings" project, initiated by the "pro Osterath" association, aims to make the history of historic buildings in the town visible. The project has already resulted in the installation of signs on two buildings - the Gumpertzhof (now known as Rossmann) and the Kröllgeshof.
Currently, the installation of signs on the adult education center and the Osterath town hall is in the planning stages. This process is expected to involve collaboration with the respective owners and the heritage conservation authority to ensure accuracy and respect for the historical significance of these buildings.
While there is no confirmed update on the project's collaboration with Dr. Mike Kunze from the Meerbusch History Association for these two buildings, the association has expressed appreciation for its cooperation with him in the creation of the content for the Kröllgeshof sign.
The "Signage of Historic Buildings" project is not limited to the Gumpertzhof and Kröllgeshof. It plans to expand and install signs on additional buildings, including the adult education center and the Osterath town hall, to continue making the history of these historic buildings visible.
For accurate and up-to-date details about the project, it would be advisable to consult local sources or the official communications from the "pro Osterath" association or relevant municipal heritage offices. As of August 2025, there is no direct update on the status of the project by the "pro Osterath" association or which historic buildings are expected to be completed soon.
In the expansion of the "Signage of Historic Buildings" project, the installation of signs on the adult education center and the Osterath town hall is in the planning stages, involving collaboration with the respective owners and the heritage conservation authority for accuracy and respect for the buildings' historical significance.
Other buildings, such as the adult education center and the Osterath town hall, are expected to have other lifestyle changes with the installation of these informative home-and-garden signs, adding to the rich history already displayed on the Gumpertzhof and Kröllgeshof.
