Historic Lawnswood House Transformed into The Roe Deer Pub
Brunning and Price, led by Mary Willcock, is transforming Lawnswood House into The Roe Deer pub. This historic building, once home to the Foley family, will become a welcoming space for locals to meet, eat, and relax, situated off the A449 Kidderminster to Wolverhampton Road.
The conversion, handled by Axis Design, maintains the Regency style of the building, constructed during King George III's reign. High ceilings and large casement windows ensure rooms are bathed in natural light. The pub will feature a central bar, a stone terrace, and a private dining room upstairs accommodating up to 14 guests.
Jon Astle Rowe leads the management team, joined by Hannah, Simon, Connor, and Matthew. Luke Wilcox, the Head Chef, will offer a diverse menu of hearty pub classics and exotic influences. The Roe Deer will serve good cask beers, freshly cooked food, affordable wine, and a selection of malt whiskies and gins.
The Roe Deer pub, set to open this summer, promises a friendly atmosphere where locals can enjoy quality drinks and food in a historic and beautifully converted setting. The project is a collaboration between Brunning and Price, the Marsh family (former owners and renowned sausage makers Marsh & Baxter), and the dedicated management and culinary teams.
