This exhibition is a collaboration between the Customs Museum and the "Central Office for the Protection of Industrial Property".
The purpose of the exhibition is to demonstrate the potential health risks and financial losses associated with purchasing counterfeit products. It aims to raise awareness of the complexities of brand and product piracy and the negative impacts of counterfeiting on the economy and local job market.
Visitors to the exhibition will find a variety of counterfeit products on display, including sportswear brand T-shirts, sunglasses, perfumes, chainsaws, foam insulation, and many others. The exhibition is designed to increase awareness of the issue of counterfeiting and inform consumers about the dangers posed by counterfeit products, even in the era of online shopping.
The "Genuine Fake" exhibition is a result of the cooperation established by the Goethe University Frankfurt, which provides academic expertise and research support essential for the exhibition's focus on authenticity and counterfeiting.
