Volksbank Viersen Youth Competition: Discover the Sea Winners Announced
Volksbank Viersen has announced the winners of its annual youth competition, with the theme this year being "Discover the Sea". The competition, which attracts young artists from various age categories, saw participation from nine schools within the Viersen, Schwalmtal, and Niederkrüchten business area.
The jury, consisting of Uwe Peters, a Viersen artist and co-organizer of viersen°openart, Emil Schult, an internationally renowned artist from Viersen, and Luisa Weiß, Federal Prize winner 2024, selected the best images in each age category by mid-March.
In the local competition, a total of 16 winners were congratulated by Michael Willemse, board member of Volksbank Viersen. Three artists excelled at the state level: Sophia, Clemens (3rd-4th grade), and Hannah (5th-6th grade).
