Germans' Bedtime Dining Habits Revealed: Survey Finds 14% Eat in Bed
A recent YouGov survey conducted on September 22, 2023, has revealed interesting insights into the dining habits of Germans. The survey, involving 14,540 respondents aged 18 and over, found that a significant portion of the population occasionally indulges in a meal while in bed.
The survey results showed that 14% of respondents sometimes eat in bed, with only 7% doing so frequently or very frequently. Conversely, 51% of respondents never partake in this practice. When it comes to age, younger people under 35 tend to eat in bed more frequently than their older counterparts. Notably, there is hardly any difference in bed eating habits between men and women.
The survey also explored public opinion on the matter. While 40% of people in Germany find snacking between pillows and blankets acceptable, 54% find it fully or rather unacceptable.
In conclusion, while a minority of Germans regularly enjoy a meal in bed, the majority do not partake in this habit. Younger people are more likely to do so, with little difference between genders. Public opinion is divided, with some finding it acceptable and others unacceptable.
