In a bold move to maintain traffic safety and peace for the resident cast of Gelsenkirchen, the city's police have taken a strong stance against reckless driving and misuse of public spaces.

The statement from the Gelsenkirchen police is a response to the recent gatherings in the districts of Erle and Schalke, which took place on March 14 and 15, 2025. These events, related to the tuning scene, resulted in noise disturbances due to vehicle maneuvers.

On both nights, the police enforced the property rights of the company owner in the district of Erle by issuing eviction notices. The gatherings in Erle ended around 11:10 PM on Friday and around 10:45 PM on Saturday, following these notices. The gathering in Schalke on Saturday concluded around 11:30 PM without police intervention.

Director of Traffic POR Andreas Kluth has stated that Gelsenkirchen does not tolerate speeders and show-offs. He urges individuals not to use public roads and spaces as racetracks or stages for showing off or self-expression. The Gelsenkirchen police are committed to maintaining safety for all residents in the city.

Individuals who behave recklessly in traffic and misuse public spaces can expect zero tolerance from the Gelsenkirchen police.
