Gear up for May's excitement! The Rewe discounter Penny is ditching the old "Penny Markt" label and stepping into the spotlight with a rebranding beginning 8th May. A swanky new logo, a thrilling new slogan, and an array of rewards for customers are part of the revamped experience. Some lucky shoppers might even score free shopping sprees!

Revamped Stores with a Twist

Ahead of the rebranding, some stores in Vienna and Upper Austria got a makeover in April. Commenting on the transformation, Kai Pataky, Rewe Austria's spokesperson, stated, "Our emphasis remains on freshness and regionality. Now, consumers can enjoy a modern shopping experience with well-organized shelves, captivating product presentations, and a clean, inviting ambiance featuring around 2,000 carefully handpicked products."

A peek at the new logo can already be had at the refurbished stores. The brand's slogan has been refreshed from "First to Penny" to "Take a Look!"

Fundraising for Families in Need

Beyond the rebranding, Penny will introduce a deposit donation scheme from 8th May. Customers can contribute their refund money from the deposit machine to the Penny Family Aid Fund "Families in Need." The donation recipients will be families in need in Austria, supported by the Austrian Red Cross. Kai Pataky shared, "The deposit donation provides an additional simple way to help. Every contribution matters - and collectively, we can make a big difference."

Penny's Generous Giveaways

From 8th to 10th May 2025, Austrian Penny stores will raffle free shopping sprees for customers. Spend up to 250 euros in a store during the campaign, and you could score a lucky draw by an automated system.

From 8th to 14th May 2025, Penny app users and newsletter subscribers can enjoy a 5-euro voucher on purchases of 50 euros or more.
