In a significant development, 40 families from the Kyzyljar district in North Kazakhstan have recently moved into their new homes. This is part of a larger initiative in the region, where an estimated 11,000 residents are expected to move into new dwellings this year.

The new homes are located in Besköl and mark a milestone as they are the first five-story buildings in the area. In total, 7 high-rise buildings have been built in the region for the socially vulnerable segments of the population.

The announcement was made by Akmol Aqsakalov, the regional governor, on his social media page, and was also reported by Almaty.tv.

In addition to these ongoing projects, the region aims to commission around 400,000 square meters of housing next year, equivalent to approximately 3,000 apartments. Another five-story residential building is also set to be erected in Besköl next year.

Governor Aqsakalov emphasised that ambitious yet achievable goals are being set to ensure as many residents as possible become homeowners.

Meanwhile, construction of 32 high-rise buildings is currently underway in Petropavlovsk, adding to the ongoing housing development in the region.

While the exact figures for housing construction in North Kazakhstan for 2022 compared to 2021 could not be determined from the available information, it is clear that the region is making significant strides in providing housing for its residents. For more precise data, it may be necessary to consult official government construction or housing development reports from Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development or regional planning authorities.
