Paddling for a Purpose: The Weser4Lions' 100-hour Marathon

Charity Challenge: 24-hour Expedition along the Weser River, Day and Night - Expeditions with a Noble Intention: Daylight and Nighttime Explorations Along the Weser

Brace yourself for an epic tale, folks! Four gritty lads - Axel Bischof, Adrian Wachendorf, Matthias Buse, and Ulf Schwarz, together with Sascha Pretzel - are embarking on a 431-kilometer paddleboard voyage along the mighty Weser River, from Hann. Münden to Bremerhaven. Known as the Weser4Lions, they plan to complete this monumental task within a mind-boggling 100 hours, taking on day and night, rain or shine! Their mission: to raise funds for the Kids' Haven - Löwenzahn Children's Hospice in Syke, an extraordinary endeavor indeed!

Navigating the Nights

"When night falls, it's me and my buddy on board, stretched out like a couple of board-sleeping sharks, while the other two beastly warriors continue to paddle," chats up Axel Bischof as they take a break at the Hameln weir. "Last night was a chilly one, but hey, who doesn't love a sunrise to keep spirits high?" Don't fret about safety, mate, as they've got life jackets strapped on and are securely tethered to the board during the wee hours.

Leaving the Water Behind

"Seven locks on the way demand our attention, as we'll carry the beastly board just like commoners carrying their grocery bags," chuckles Bischof. These little breaks offer a golden opportunity to scoff down a bite or two since they've got a pair of support vehicles trailing them, delivering grubstraight to the board when they call. Hunger be damned, they've also got plenty of energy bars and water supplies on board!

An Adventure for a Great Cause

"It's about finding and championing worthy projects," explains Schwarz, referring to their extraordinary venture. "We're on this rip-roaring journey to support the Löwenzahn Children's Hospice in Syke because we firmly believe in the sanctity of hospice work." All hail Germany's hospices for worshiping mercy and compassion!

When the Going Gets Tough

According to Schwarz, the biggest challenges they'll face are the nippy nights and those pesky wind and weather elements. "A stiff headwind will test our mettle, and from Bremen onwards, we'll need to watch for tides. We'll ride the waves for six glorious hours before the North Sea whips up a storm for another six!"

Buckle up and cheer on the Weser4Lions as they tackle this challenging, charitable quest! May they raise the roof - and a heap of funds - for the Löwenzahn Children's Hospice in Syke!

The individuals behind the Weser4Lions campaign, driven by their commitment to worthy causes, have outlined their community policy, which includes supporting the Löwenzahn Children's Hospice in Syke through their adventurous 100-hour paddleboard voyage. As part of their employment policy, they've arranged support vehicles to cater to their nutritional needs during the journey, providing an outdoor-living experience as they traverse the Weser River. To tackle the challenges ahead, such as cold nights, windy conditions, and tidal changes, they've put safety measures in place, ensuring they can maintain their focus on sports and achieving their goal for the kids.
