The city of Hannover is taking significant steps towards a more sustainable and user-friendly mobility future with the updating of its Mobility Master Plan. The new plan, named Mobility Master Plan 2035, is currently being presented to the Urban Development and Building Committee.

The Mobility Master Plan 2035, which covers the period up to 2035, is a collaborative effort between the city and the planning office shp traffic planning. This updated plan aims to provide sustainable, climate-friendly, and user-friendly mobility options for all residents of Hannover.

One of the key objectives of the Mobility Master Plan 2035 is to further increase cycling traffic and decrease car traffic in the city. To achieve this, the plan may include specific goals and targets for reducing carbon emissions from transportation.

In line with this, the Mobility Master Plan 2035 also focuses on the development of a CO2-free public transport system by 2035. This shift towards electromobility includes the widespread introduction of electric buses as part of the sustainability strategy of ÜSTRA, the city's transport operator.

These trends are expected to continue with the implementation of the Mobility Master Plan 2035.
