Urgent Kennel Construction for Disabled Dogs at Biysk's Loyalty Shelter

Volunteers at the Loyalty animal shelter in Biysk are actively preparing to construct a kennel for dogs with mobility issues. With the shelter's populace growing daily, they urgently require a new space to accommodate these animals in need.

Over the winter, several disabled dogs have accumulated indoors, largely reliant on artificial light and deprived of exercise and fresh air. In addition to those rescued with serious injuries, numerous injured puppies have arrived, currently undergoing treatment and developing without access to the outdoors. Many of these puppies were found along road sides during the summer.

The volunteers plan to build a kennel providing these dogs with an opportunity for regular exercise, taking them out in shifts. They aim to allow them some fresh air and sunshine, glaringly absent in their current living conditions.

In the quest for construction materials, the volunteers have received wood deliveries and are now soliciting donations from the public. Before bringing any materials, they urge donors to consider quality, as the dogs tend to chew on poorly constructed materials. Concrete, cement, and other supplies are also requested.

Separately, Biysk's streets have seen an increase in abandoned purebred animals. This unfortunate trend emphasizes the need for sustained support to provide these animals with safe and nurturing environments like the kennel under construction.

To aid in the construction process, potential donors can contribute financially, donate building materials, offer valuable tools and machinery, or partake in volunteering their time. By engaging with the local community and partnering with businesses, local grants, and social media campaigns, the volunteers aim to gather the necessary resources to materialize this compassionate undertaking.

In an effort to improve the living conditions of the growing number of disabled dogs at the Loyalty shelter in Biysk, the volunteers are seeking donations for the home-and-garden section, such as concrete and cement, to construct a lifestyle-friendly kennel. Pet owners in the community are encouraged to donate quality materials to ensure the comfort and safety of the dogs, given their tendency to chew on kennel surfaces.
