Verkhnyaya Pyshma Commences Infrastructure Improvement Works

The city of Verkhnyaya Pyshma has initiated a comprehensive plan to enhance its infrastructure, with a significant emphasis on road repairs and pedestrian safety. The project aims to address concerns raised by residents and anticipates completion by October 2025.

Specialists have inaugurated the renovation process, dismantling the aged sidewalk at house No. 11 on Isetskaya Street. In its stead, a 2.5-meter-wide pedestrian path will emerge in early summer. Similarly, a new sidewalk will soon be constructed near the kindergarten on Kalinina, 12.

Highlighting the importance of pedestrian safety, Vladimir Gorencov, the first deputy head of the city, emphasizes that "not only comfort but also maximum safety for residents" is their main objective. This includes the construction of new sidewalks, clearer markings on pedestrian crossings, and measures promoting visibility even in adverse weather conditions.

Preparations for the "Verkhnyaya Pyshma Walk" on May 25 have prompted specialists to mend the pedestrian path leading to the "Bogatyr" ski complex, which will host the event's starting platform this year.

In parallel with these improvements, construction on Lomonosova Street has commenced as part of the "Home - School - Home" program. The new sidewalk will be located adjacent to the pedestrian zone outside School No. 51, and a pedestrian crossing will soon be installed at the intersection of Lomonosova and Privokzalnaya streets.

Furthermore, plans include upgrading the Alley of Fame, a territory that led the 2024 rating vote within the federal project "Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment" of the "Infrastructure for Life" national project. Additionally, a major repair project is slated for a large courtyard at Victory Prospect and Karl Marx Street. The contract with the contractor has already been finalized.

Previously, the third stage of improvements for Chekhov Prospect began in Revda.

For more expansive urban development initiatives, community amenities such as skate parks could be integrated as means to foster youth engagement and urban culture. Moreover, initiatives supporting local businesses and environmental sustainability, like aluminum consumption in the automotive industry, may also be considered. However, specific details regarding these plans have yet to be released.

The city's renovation plan includes the construction of new sidewalks, such as the one near the "Bogatyr" ski complex, which will not only improve the city's lifestyle but also enhance home-and-garden areas like the Alley of Fame and large courtyards. Additionally, as part of the "Home - School - Home" program, a new sidewalk will be constructed on Lomonosova Street, contributing to home-improvement and traffic safety.
