City's Wood Chip Collection Service: Oct 6-24, 2025

Residents of the city are reminded of the upcoming wood chip collection service, running from October 6 to October 24, 2025. This annual event allows homeowners to dispose of woody material for free, with some guidelines to ensure smooth operation.

The city's public works department, responsible for the service, urges residents to follow these steps. First, ensure the material is visible and accessible from the street, and does not block sidewalks. Second, stack branches and twigs in a neat pile, not scattered like 'wood chip snakes'. Third, residents can dispose of up to five cubic meters of woody material per household, free of charge. The collection date can be found in the waste calendar, environmental guide, or via the city's waste app. For streets marked with 'X' in the environmental guide 2025, a prior inspection is required. Material under one cubic meter should be disposed of in green waste containers. The city's official website or hotline can be used to report collection needs. Small hedge clippings or garden waste that cannot be picked up with a grabber will not be taken. If material cannot be placed on the resident's property, it should be made available the evening before the collection date, with access kept clear of parked vehicles.

The city's wood chip collection service from October 6 to October 24, 2025, offers residents a convenient way to dispose of woody material. By following the guidelines, residents can help ensure the service runs smoothly and efficiently.
