City Core Celebrates Year of the Snake in Grand Style, Delivering a Spectacular Scene
San Ramon, California, is preparing for the Lunar New Year with an extensive celebration at City Center Bishop Ranch. This year marks the Year of the Snake, and the city is bringing a variety of cultural performances to welcome the occasion.
City Center has traditionally dancers and live music on the agenda, but the festivities will also include more unique attractions like a contortionist and a Bian Lian "face changer." The face changers will wear masks to portray characters and tell stories, while the celebration will conclude with a captivating dragon dance.
While fireworks may be missing from the schedule, the event is still set to offer a remarkable spectacle, and best of all, it is completely free to attend. The celebration will take place on Sunday, February 2, from 2-4 p.m. in Alexander Square at City Center (6000 Bollinger Canyon Road).
