Celebrating People and Projects at the Second City Gala Night
In the heart of Pforzheim, the Kulturhaus Osterfeld played host to the second Pforzheim Honors Evening on Wednesday. The event, which celebrated the exceptional civic engagement of individuals and non-profit projects, was a testament to the city's vibrant community spirit.
Mayor Peter Boch, in his opening remarks, emphasized the indispensable role volunteers play in the well-being of the city. He highlighted their contributions to the socio-cultural climate, fostering a sense of unity and mutual support among Pforzheim's residents.
Twenty-seven individuals and five non-profit projects were honored across five categories. Ralf Fuhrmann, a respected figure in Pforzheim, was posthumously honored for his commitment to social, political, and health initiatives, including the Pforzheim AIDS Help. His diverse volunteer engagement in various areas of life left a lasting impact on the city.
In the category of Young Engagement, Björn Gregor Bischoff, Felix Dorn, Luis Moßner, Simon Stiegele, and an unspecified number of other young volunteers were recognized for their exceptional civic engagement.
The extended board also received recognition for their dedication, with Josef Eberhardt, Tobias Gindele, Dietmar Jansen, Bruno Kohl, Rolf Kümmel, Elke Künkele, Rainer Meeh, Markus Munz, Johanna Sterns, and Franz Weiss being honored for their engagement.
Four non-profit projects were also acknowledged for their contributions. GoldenHearts UG, Förder- und Freundeskreis der Karl-Friedrich-Schule Eutingen e.V., Maislabyrinth Eutingen, and Unser Lädle Hohenwart e.V., Vereinsbegleiter Pforzheim were all honored for their projects, both established and innovative.
The evening was filled with performances, with excerpts from the productions "Merci Jury 2.0" and "Hexen" delighting the audience. Entertainer Peter Jagusch hosted the event, providing musical accompaniment courtesy of Kultur im Osterfeld e.V. (KiO) and Theater am Osterfeld.
The Pforzheim Honors Evening served as a reminder of the importance of volunteer work and the significant impact it has on the city's community. It was a night of celebration, recognition, and inspiration, encouraging more residents to get involved and contribute to the well-being of Pforzheim.
