Campbell County's Senior Citizens Gathering at the Beach - Grab Your Tickets ASAP in Island Times
The Campbell County Senior Citizens are inviting seniors to join them for a tropical-themed picnic on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. The event, titled "Island Time," will take place at Pendery Park in Melbourne from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Tickets for the picnic are priced at $10.00 and are currently on sale at the Campbell County Senior Center, located at 3504 Alexandria Pike, Highland Heights, and the Administration Building at 1098 Monmouth Street, Newport (tickets can be purchased in Office 301). Pre-sale tickets will be available until September 23.
The tropical theme of the picnic suggests a day filled with fun and relaxation. While specific activities have not been detailed, past senior picnics have typically included food, games, music, and socialising. This year's event is expected to feature live music, bingo, chair volleyball, corn hole, door prizes, and a boxed chicken lunch.
Attendees are encouraged to dress in tropical shirts, leis, and beach colours to add to the island vibe. Tickets at the gate on the day of the picnic will cost $15.
