Bus company BVG will introduce bath buses to its services starting from this Thursday.
The Berlin Transport Company (BVG) has announced the reinstatement of two bath bus lines from July 24, 2025. These bus lines will provide a means of transportation to the popular beach baths at Wannsee and Tegeler See.
From July 24, the bath bus lines will be in service, connecting the beach baths with nearby transport hubs. Line 312 will run every 10 minutes from Nikolassee station to Wannsee beach, while Line 222 will connect Tegeler See beach with Tegel S-Bahn station every 40 minutes.
The summer holiday line 312 will operate daily, except on Sundays and public holidays before 9 am. During this time, the line will run with a frequency of 20 minutes from 9 am to 10 am. Line 222, on the other hand, will operate every day, except with reduced frequency (every 40 minutes) on Sundays and public holidays before 9 am.
The beach baths at Wannsee and Tegeler See are expected to see increased usage with the return of the bath bus lines. The buses for lines 312 and 222 will be in operation daily from 10 am to 8 pm. However, it's important to note that the exact schedules for these lines during the summer season should be confirmed on the official BVG website or local transit authorities closer to the season.
The operation of the bath bus lines is in coordination with the start of the summer holidays. The lines will cease operation on September 6, 2025.
