Bid on Exclusive Animation Items to Support Los Angeles Wildfire Emergency Fund

The animation industry is joining forces with ASIFA-Hollywood to bring AnimAID to life and host a charity auction at Sotheby's to support those in the animation field impacted by the LA wildfires. Heavy hitters like The Walt Disney Company, Warner Brothers, Sony Pictures Animation, DreamWorks Animation, and Pixar have all chipped in with a plethora of unique and highly coveted animation art pieces for bidders to snag.

The online auction kicked off this week, aiming to assist artists and industry professionals who've lost their homes or been displaced as Los Angeles continues to rally for recovery. Animation producer Don Hahn, known for movies like Beauty and The Beast and Howard, spoke up on the occasion via Instagram:

"The animation community took a heavy blow from the LA fires. But now we're a united front, donating artwork - priceless artwork - to Sotheby's for a special auction. All the profits will go to AnimAID and aid the victims of the LA fires."

This one-of-a-kind exhibition features art from both the silver screen and the small screen, with iconic offerings such as Snow White, The Simpsons, Inside Out, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, The Wild Robot, Beauty and the Beast, and Avatar making an appearance.

Hahn continued, "Every single bid makes a difference and helps people get back on their feet and restore their homes and their lives."

The auction is now in full swing, and here are some of the items up for grabs: production drawings, animation cels, artwork commissions by film industry artists, studio tours, signed posters, and much more [1][4].

Hahn took to Instagram once more, sharing glimpses of some of the auction items:

"Bid on these insanely cool pieces and help those in need!" [4]
